President Donald Trump accused California’s governor on Wednesday of ‘trying to back out of’ an offer to send National Guard troops to help with border control operations.

‘There is a Revolution going on in California. Soooo many Sanctuary areas want OUT of this ridiculous, crime infested & breeding concept,’ Trump tweeted Wednesday, referring to sanctuary cities in the Golden State whose law enforcement agencies refuse to cooperate with federal immigration authorities.

‘Jerry Brown is trying to back out of the National Guard at the Border, but the people of the State are not happy. Want Security & Safety NOW!

Brown, a Democrat, has said he’s nearing agreement on the state joining Trump’s large-scale deployment along the Mexican border.

But his office said Tuesday that nothing’s changed since the governor pledged 400 troops last week, and that California is waiting on a response to proposed contract that would include a ban on any activities related to immigration enforcement.

Brown has insisted the California National Guard can’t perform any duty that was part of border-control enforcement – a list that includes vehicle maintenance, radio communications, buying gasoline, handling payroll and clerical work.

San Diego County supervisors voted Tuesday to back the administration’s lawsuit against the state’s sanctuary law.

Trump had lashed out at Brown on Tuesday, complaining on Twitter that the Democrat was completely forbidding his state’s National Guard troops from helping to secure the U.S.-Mexico border.

‘Looks like Jerry Brown and California are not looking for safety and security along their very porous Border. He cannot come to terms for the National Guard to patrol and protect the Border,’ the president tweeted Tuesday.

‘The high crime rate will only get higher. Much wanted Wall in San Diego already started!’
