‘This is going to spread’ Eye-bleeding fever crisis warning amid fears of NEW cases
DOCTORS battling the so-called eye-bleeding fever have warned the disease is going to spread, Daily Star Online can reveal.

Dr Mukuzi Muhereza, from the Uganda Medical Association, warned this website the disease – Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) – will spread further unless action is taken quickly.
The top doc said he believed the Ugandan government was putting people “at risk” by downplaying the outbreak.
He previously described the CCHF cases as an “epidemic” and called on Uganda’s health ministry to take further action.
Victims suffering with the disease have a burning fever, before vomiting and beginning to bleed from their orifices – including eyes, mouths and anuses.
Uganda’s health ministry have confirmed only one case of CCHF, but Dr Muhereza told Daily Star Online he believes there are more.
He said: “There was only one confirmed case, but there are more suspected cases.
“This has potential to spread further especially when the communities are not sensitised.
“There is need to know that signs – especially the danger ones – so that early management can be intiatied.”
