TERRORISM REACHES IRELAND: Egyptian Stabs Three College Students, Killing One in Random Attack

Ireland is the latest European nation to suffer a deadly Islamist attack. Three young men were stabbed, one killed by an 18 year-old Egyptian migrant.
The victims were not linked to eachother and were targeted at random.
Dundalk residents expressed their horror saying, “I can’t believe this has happened. It’s like something you read about in the papers that happens somewhere else.”
The Irish Times reported:
“An 18-year-old male has been arrested following a series of attacks in Dundalk, Co Louth which left a man dead.
The deceased is understood to be a 24-year-old who was studying at Dundalk Institute of Technology. He received stab wounds to the back and died at the scene of the attack which took place near the college on Avenue Road at about 9am.
Two other males, believed to be Irish, were injured nearby having been struck with an object. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The suspected attacker was born in Egypt. It is understood he was disarmed by an unarmed garda before being taken into custody.
He is currently been questioned under section 4 of Criminal Justice Act and can be held for up to 24 hours before being charged or released.
Motive
Garda are refusing to speculate on a motive for the attacks. It is believed the victims were not known to each other and were targeted at random.
“One man has been arrested and is currently detained in Dundalk Garda station. No further details are available at present,” a garda spokesman said.
