Pyongyang has been warned by experts to potentially launch at least one more missile before the world rings in the new year.

And now just 24 hours left of the year for Kim – which for them is Juche year 106, not 2017 – there could be another weapon launch.

US spy plane Cobra Plane took off from its base in Japan earlier today and is expected to be keeping an eye on North Korea.

And there are also reports a South Korean “early warning” plane is now also flying over the Korean Peninsula.

North Korea is reeling after new UN sanctions were slapped onto it in reaction to his latest missile test back in November.

Statements released today by North Korean state media continue to talk up Kim’s quest of ICBMs, refusing to bow to pressure to give up the weapons programme in 2018.

US officials believe Kim could be preparing a rocket launch to put another satellite into orbit for North Korea.

However, others think this could just be a cover for another missile launch – and one that could his most dangerous yet, the dreaded Juche Bird.

Missile tracker plane Cobra Ball took-off from Okinawa earlier today amid fears of an imminent launch from North Korea.

The plane is tasked with observing missile flights and gathering data on the weapons – with a range of 3,900 miles.

It is crewed by two US Air Forces pilots and a crew of engineers operating the state-of-the-art surveillance systems packed into its fuselage.
