NEW YORK: One person dead after driver ploughs through pedestrians – suspect on the run
POLICE are frantically searching for a man they believe deliberately ploughed through pedestrians in Queens in a brutal incident that left one person dead.

The hit and run driver ploughed through a group of six pedestrians early on Sunday morning during a brawl outside a Hookah bar.
The hit and run took place at 129th Street and Liberty Avenue, in the Richmond Hill neighbourhood.
One person died at the scene, while a further five people were injured in the incident which police are treating as a deliberate attack.
One of the victims is reportedly in a critical condition, while the other four are believed to be stable.
In addition two others were taken to the same hospital with stab wounds, which are alleged to be connected to the dispute.
Police have described the suspect as an adult male with a ponytail.
He is believed to be driving a white Hyundai Sonata.
