SAS helicopter gun units are on standby amid an ISIS threat to Christmas shoppers in Britain.

The UK’s most elite commandos are ready for action at a moment’s notice to protect millions of Brits.

SAS teams are on alert amid a direct threat by ISIS to launch a Christmas bloodbath in London.

Jihadis have been circulating propaganda showing Father Christmas being executed warning: “Soon on your holidays.”

But the terrorists are going to have their work cut out for them.

Helicopter unit Blue Thunder is primed to go airborne carrying machine-gun wielding SAS commandos.

Up to 70 elite troops make up the unit which is ready to be deployed anywhere in the UK should they get the call from counter-terror command.

Special training prepares the SAS hardmen for lone wolf attacks, terrorists storming public buildings and large groups of armed terrorists.

Blue Thunder is known as such because the unmarked blue helicopters in which they travel.

The squadrons are based a various airfields across the country, ensuring they can respond to any threat by ISIS.
