NORTH Korea says it WILL explode a hydrogen bomb over the Pacific Ocean unless Donald Trump stops threatening to takeout their leader Kim Jong-un.

Pyongyang has warned threats to “conduct the most powerful detonation” of a nuclear weapon in the region should be taken “literally”.

At the United Nations General Assembly in September, the country’s foreign minister Ri Yong Ho threatened the Pacific Ocean experiment after the US President pledged to “totally destroy” the despot state.

Tensions have reached boiling point between North Korea and the US after its repeated nuclear tests and threats to target America’s Pacific Ocean territory of Guam.

Yesterday North Korean official Ri Yong Pil insisted that his country has “always brought its words into action”.

Mr Pil told CNN in Pyongyang: “The foreign minister is very well aware of the intentions of our supreme leader, so I think you should take his words literally.

“The US is talking about a military option and even practising military moves.

“They’re pressuring us on all fronts with sanctions.

“If you think this will lead to diplomacy, you’re deeply mistaken.”

President Trump, who said they are “prepared for anything” when it comes to Kim Jong-un on Sunday, is due to visit South Korea next month but expected to bypass a visit to the heavily protected border with its neighbours, according to CNN.

Mr Pil also dismissed claims made by US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that diplomatic channels between the US and North Korea were still open.
