Two people have been killed in a suspected murder suicide at a construction side on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Witnesses said the gunman was a former employee who opened fire on his foreman on the 39th floor of the building which is on West 59th Street between 11th Avenue and the Joe DiMaggio highway.
Both were found dead inside by a SWAT team shortly after the first shot was fired.
Workers who fled when the shooting occurred piled out into the street to watch as police and firefighters arrived.
Before the gunman was confirmed dead, tactical police were seen entering the building carrying weapons.
Workers claimed the man was a disgruntled former employee who was fired a few days ago.
