NORTH Korea could drop a nuclear bomb on the United States using Kim Jong-un’s satellites, it has been claimed amid increasing tensions threatening the outbreak of World War 3.

Experts have called for North Korea’ satellites to be inspected before take-off as fears grow Kim Jong-un could be ready to use one to drop a hydrogen bomb on mainland America.

Kim Jong-un was spotted in a H-bomb factory with his generals last week following North Korea’s sixth nuclear test.

Homeland Security expert Peter Pry suggests a powerful H-bomb could be dropped from one of the rogue state’s satellites onto the US, sparking mayhem.

The blast could cause a gigantic electromagnetic pulse (EMP) which would interfere with America’s electrical grid leading to death and destruction.

The EMP is crucial for food supplies, electronic communication and defence systems – so any interference could spark chaos.

North Korea conducted a sixth nuclear test at the weekend, saying it was a hydrogen bomb that could be fitted onto a missile, prompting global condemnation and calls for further sanctions.

The North says it needs nuclear arms to protect itself, but the US has accused the isolated nation of “begging for war”.

North Korea currently has two satellites in orbit which could become deadly weapons if armed for an EMP attack.

Jim Oberg, an American scientist who has visited Kim Jong-un’s Sohae space launch urged the US to ensure no North Korean satellite leaves Earth “unless thoroughly inspected before launch.”

He told The Sun: “There have been fears expressed that North Korea might use a satellite to carry a small nuclear warhead into orbit and then detonate it over the US for an EMP strike.

“These concerns seem extreme and require an astronomical scale of irrationality on the part of the regime.

“The most frightening aspect, I’ve come to realise is that exactly such a scale of insanity is now evident in the rest of this ‘space programme.’”
