A Houston police officer got a special birthday treat from his daughter when she called him to sing ‘Happy Birthday’.
Sgt. Nick Matson has not been home in six days because of Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Houston.
An adorable video shows Matson holding his phone up to his ear as the four-year-old girl starts to sing.
She hasn’t quite gotten a handle on the ‘th’ sound, so it sounds like she’s saying ‘birfday’.
Matson wipes away tears with his fingers. When he notices that he is being filmed he shyly tries to shield his face from the camera.
