George Foreman has slammed his fellow athletes Colin Kaepernick and Kevin Durant as ‘sore losers’ over their high-profile protests.

The 68-year-old former world champion heavyweight boxer and famed grill-maker spoke out on the Offended America podcast on Monday, saying that athletes who protest are likely seeking attention.

Kaepernick, an NFL quarterback currently seeking a contract, famously kneeled during the national anthem before games last season.

Durant has announced that he wouldn’t visit the White House with NBA champs the Golden State Warriors, saying of President Donald Trump: ‘I don’t respect who’s in office right now.’

‘I love the United States, I love the flag,’ Foreman said.

‘We came in the era we were patriotic. The greatest day of my life was when I put on the colors, representing the United States in the Olympic red white and blue,’ he said, referencing his gold medal in the 1968 Olympics.

‘They [Kevin Durant and Colin Kaepernick] haven’t been brought up with people who were patriotic.’

He added: ‘A lot of people died so that they can have that privilege’ and called people upset with the last presidential election ‘sore losers’.

Foreman spoke glowingly about his experience with then-promoter Donald Trump, who helped him out of bankruptcy by bankrolling a pay-per-view fight in 1991.

‘He’s a good president. A lot of people don’t like him, but evidently more do, because he was elected president,’ Foreman said.
