BREAKING: White House on LOCKDOWN as Secret Service investigate suspicious package
THE WHITE House has been placed on lockdown by the US Secret Service amid reports of an unidentified security threat.

Construction work on the North Lawn came to a halt on Tuesday afternoon as crews were told to leave the area.
Meanwhile, reporters were urged to wait in the James S. Brady briefing room while the security threat was investigated.
The Secret Service tweeted to confirm they were responding to an “unattended package near the North Fence of the White House complex”, along with Washington police officers.
Pedestrian access around the White House has been restricted while security officers try to bring the situation under control.
President Trump is not in the building having just left Washington for a rally in Arizona Tuesday night.
