DONALD TRUMP has a “dramatic situation” on the table to resolve a potential global conflict with North Korea, according to his former White House director of communications Anthony Scaramucci.

North Korea, amid heightened tensions with the US President, has recalled ambassadors to Pyongyang, and while Mr Trump would favour a “diplomatic” solution he will also have a more aggressive plan to hand, said Mr Scaramucci.

Mr Trump promised to retaliate with “fire and fury” after reports emerged from rogue state North Korea about its despot leader Kim Jong-un considering a ballistic missile attack on the US territory of Guam.

Speaking during a question and answer session with his social media users, Mr Scaramucci said the US leader would not want to put civilian lives at risk but will have a “dramatic” action plan to de-escalate tensions between Washington and Pyongyang.

“I think the United States has a solution there,” he said. “I think the first solution we should be seeking is always a diplomatic solution.

“I think there is a more dramatic solution there, if necessary.

“I think the number one thing the President is focused on is the mitigation of innocent civilian life.

“You can’t have someone who is sabre-rattling like that and threatening places like Guam, Japan or our allies in the South Korean peninsula.”
