Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk warned that advances in Artificial Intelligence (AI) poses more of a threat to humanity than North Korea.

‘If you’re not concerned about AI safety, you should be. Vastly more risk than North Korea,’ Musk wrote on Twitter Friday.

Musk, 46, posted the ominous message of after a war of words between North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un and President Donald Trump escalated this week.

Trump unleashed a slew of fresh threats against North Korea on Friday, declaring the US military ‘locked and loaded’ and warning North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that he ‘will regret it fast’ if he takes any action against US territories or allies.

North Korea issued a response early Saturday morning, warning Trump to ‘talk and act properly’ if he wanted the US to avoid its ‘doom.’

‘If the Trump administration does not want the American empire to meet its tragic doom in its tenure, they had better talk and act properly,’ North Korea said through state-run media.

Musk has consistently advocated for governments and private institutions to apply regulations on AI technology, arguing that controls are necessary in order protect machines from advancing out of human control.
