A representative of the House of Representatives of the US Congress, Maxine Waters, promised to “impeach” Russian President Vladimir Putin, having confused him with US Vice President Mike Pence, and thus added a new blooper to her record.
oy Behar, the host of the Political View TV program broadcast by ABC News asked Waters whether Mike Pence would cope with the president’s duties better than the current head of state Donald Trump.
“When we finish with Trump, we have to go and get Putin, he’s next,” the congresswoman said.
“Putin or Pence?” Behar asked.
“Ah, Pence,” Waters corrected herself.
“We get two for one: Trump and Putin, and then we got to go after Pence,” Behar said in order to smooth the awkwardness caused by Waters’ mistake.
