NORTH Korea is developing a lethal hydrogen bomb that could massacre 1.7 million people if it was dropped on the US, a defence expert has shockingly claimed.

The communist regime is now considered a nuclear power after test firing two intercontinental ballistic missiles in less than a month.
Defence analysts believe the tests prove that the totalitarian nation has the capability to hit much of the US with an ICBM.
But Harry J Kazianis, director of defence studies at the Center for the National Interest, believes Pyongyang is advancing a more chilling threat – a deadly H-bomb.
Kazianis claimed that North Korea is putting the finishing touches on “the ultimate atomic weapon”.
Backing up his claims, he said that an anonymous “Defence Department official” told him that “it now appears the North Koreans are working to finish development of an H-bomb”.
The communist state could “succeed in as soon as six to 18 months”, the official alarmingly told him.
He said such a bomb would be “many times more powerful” than the atomic bomb dropped on Japan during World War 2.
It is estimated that around 260,000 people were killed when the US dropped nuclear weapons on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
