KIM Jong-un has been warned in no uncertain terms to stop his numerous illegal missile tests by South Korea.

Today the unification ministry of the South called for the North to urgently sit down for talks following Pyongyang’s latest missile launch.

The call was made after North Korea fired another intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) late on Friday.

It flew 620 miles and reached an altitude of 2,300 miles before it fell into Japanese waters.

Kim claims the whole US mainland is within his striking range.

Baik Tae-hyun, ministry spokesman, told a regular press briefing this morning: “South Korea sternly responds to North Korea’s provocations.

“There is no change in the government’s stance that it will seek both sanctions and dialogue.”

New President Moon Jae-in has taken a more conciliatory approach to Seoul’s neighbours.

But the latest ICBM test has caused tensions to rise again and Moon’s tactics are coming under fire.

The South previously proposed holding military talks on easing border tensions on July 21.

“The government will make persistent efforts for North Korea’s denuclearisation, as well as peace and security on the Korean Peninsula,” Baik said.
