Since winning the Presidency, Donald Trump and his cabinet have warned North Korea all options are on the table.
They want to stop Kim building a missile capable of reaching the US and won’t rule out using force to do it.
Yesterday, the tubby tyrant launched yet another missile, which this time landed in Japanese waters, provoking fury from Tokyo.
Washington this morning is considering using force in response.
Now experts say even measured military action will mean an all-out war – whether or not it kills Kim.
Asian security expert Chris Ogden told Daily Star Online a targeted strike would “more than likely” bring retaliation.
Dr Ogden, who lectures at St Andrews University in Scotland, said: “A precision strike probably wouldn’t be that precise.
“They will have some sources of intelligence but they will not be definitively 100% sure that they’re gonna get the leader.
“And even if he is killed, he will be replaced. I think the mentality North Korea has isn’t just its current leader, it’s pervasive across its elite.”
