Blame Brussels! German MEP SAVAGES ‘hopeless’ Verhofstadt and Juncker for causing Brexit
A GERMAN MEP has ripped into Brussels figureheads Guy Verhofstadt and Jean-Claude Juncker, blaming them for Britain’s decision to quit the European Union.

n an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Hans-Olaf Henkel said the pair had ignored the real issues while attempting to create their dreamland of a “united states of Europe”.
He also accused the European Union leaders of abandoning Britain, when it was blatantly obvious further integration wasn’t the answer to Brussels problems.
Mr Henkel, the vice-chairman of the European Parliament’s third biggest group, the European Conservatives and Reformists, mocked Mr Verhofstadt, insisting he was the wrong person to federalise Europe.
Mr Verhofstadt, the self-appointed Brexit negotiator for the European Parliament and former prime minister of Belgian, could not make Belgium work as its leader and therefore could not make a one-nation continent work, according to Mr Henkel.
He said: “Mr Verhofstadt is an absolutely hopeless case, he wants the united states of Europe.
“Now look, Mr Verhofstadt comes from Belgium, and I have an apartment in Belgium because I’m in the European Parliament, and I can tell you one thing: this country does not work!
“It has two languages, and those two language groups fight each other day and night. Not such a long time ago the country was for 18 months without a government.
“Belgium in a way is a failed state. How on Earth can you advocate a nation with 24 languages when even a nation with two doesn’t work?”
