US Judge Enforcing Nazi Eugenics As Prisoners Are Sterilized for Shorter Sentences

Tennessee Judge Benningfield has developed a program, enforceable from the bench, in which inmates can reduce their sentence by 30 days if they agree to be sterilized. Benningfield has proclaimed that the plea deal will be “breaking a vicious cycle of repeat offenders who constantly come into his courtroom on drug related charges, subsequently can’t afford child support and have trouble finding jobs.”
Amazingly and in the spirit of Nazi Germany’s eugenics programs, the Tennessee Department of Health has reportedly given its approval for the local county program.
White County District Attorney, Bryant Dunaway, has ordered his assistant DA’s to not to enter into any agreement related to Benningfield’s eugenics program. Additionally, the ACLU is also on the record as opposing the practice as the ACLU issued a statement which called “legally pressured contraception and sterilization “unconstitutional” as a violation of basic individual rights.” Close to 70 people are awaiting sterilization.
