AT least eight people have been left injured after gunmen opened fire outside a mosque in south eastern France, according to reports.

Two hooded gunmen are said to have darted out of their Renault Clio at approximately 10.30 pm local time, and opened fire in front of the Arrahma mosque, in the Rue de la Grange d’Orel.
Worshippers were said to have been leaving the mosque as the gunmen launched their attack.
One attacker was reportedly carrying a handgun, while the other man was said to have been armed with a rifle.
Police said four people were injured at the scene including a seven-year-old girl, and a family of four in a nearby apartment fifty metres away, sustained shrapnel wounds, La Provence newspaper reports.
A search for the two suspects is currently underway police have confirmed.
The incident comes weeks after a terrorist attack near Finsbury Park Mosque in north London which left one man dead and another eight injured.
