EU OFFICIALS have launched a blistering attack on Britain’s plan for Brexit claiming a “Breturn” could soon take place.

The extraordinary outburst by Brussels bigwigs comes as prime minister Theresa May prepares for EU exit talks after the furore over the general election settles.
Many in the European parliament think her planned alliance with the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) spells trouble for negotiations.
And one EU official appeared to laugh at the UK’s chances of reaching a successful deal with the DUP in tow, saying “what a bunch!”
The DUP, a Northern Irish party, is known for its hardline stance on abortion, same-sex marriage and climate change.
One official told The Sunday Times: “We hoped she would emerge stronger from this election but like this she will be even more beholden to a hostile parliament and a hostage to her backbenchers.”
EU officials had welcomed Mrs May’s decision to hold a snap election as they thought she would win a stronger mandate to carry out tough negotiations.
