‘They’re FANATICS!’ Swedish MEP destroys Brussels for using ‘Brexit to push for EU army’
A SWEDISH MEP has brutalised Brussels leaders for trying to use Brexit to push for a European Union army, as he branded the idea “crazy”.

Peter Lundgren, of the Sweden Democrats, mocked the bloc’s call to arms as he said Brussels was becoming an ‘uncontrollable monster.’
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Mr Lundgren said: “They are fanatics in this house, what is next? Should we also have a nuclear division ready to defend European values?
“I mean, common, it’s crazy. This is not what the European Union was meant to be when the project started.
“The European Union was meant to be a peace securing project. It was actually built on the idea that you don’t shoot the guy you trade with, that was pretty much the idea from the beginning here.
“Now, it’s developed into a monster that we’ll soon not be able to control anymore. So I cannot see this go on for very much longer.
“I think we will see the Euroscepticism rising more and more in a number of European countries.”
The MEP, who’s Eurosceptic party is surging in the polls in Sweden, said he wanted European cooperation to continue – but in a limited capacity.
Mr Lundgren said: “I would like to see European cooperation in the big questions, the environment, police enforcement, there are a number of things you need international cooperation on.
“But there are also a lot of things where you don’t need international cooperation.
