Phil Campion demanded immediate action to keep dangerous terrorists “off the streets” and identify potential threats to Britain after seven people were killed and 48 more injured after a deadly van and knife attack by three terrorists on London Bridge and Borough Market on Saturday.

The former SAS man, speaking on Sky News, said “enough is enough”, as he urged Mrs May to produce a solution for Britain’s terrorist threat after three deadly attacks in three months.

Mr Campion said: “Ok Prime Minister, you’re saying, ‘Enough is enough,’ we’re saying, ‘Enough is enough’.

“What you need to do now is you need to get these people who have been identified and get them off the streets – I’m not saying you lock them up forever, but you’ve got to find out who is who.

“If you’ve identified them in any shape or form, you’ve got to get rid of them, you’ve got to do something about them.

“You’ve then got to look further into the problem – start thinking about going into the communities and finding out what is going wrong at a grassroots level. These people are being indoctrinated at somehow!”

Mrs May used speech following the attack to call on tougher terror laws, allowing heavier punishments for even minor terror offences.

The Prime Minister also claimed there had been “far too much tolerance of extremism” in the UK, as she pledged to introduce internet regulation to combat terrorists’ online presence.
