BREAKING: Manchester’s Oxford Road in lockdown just days after terror attack

POLICE have swarmed onto Manchester’s Oxford Road, cordoning off the busy street just days after Salman Abedi’s suicide blast in the city.

Officers have blocked off the street in Manchester City Centre while they carry out an operation.

At least a dozen police vehicles can be seen and traffic is backed up considerably.

It is not clear what the incident is related to but it comes at a time of heightened tensions after Salman Abedi killed 22 at the Manchester Arena on Monday night.
