Armed cops to patrol UK trains for FIRST TIME following Manchester’s terror attack
ARMED cops will be on board trains for the first time in history this afternoon after UK’s terror threat level was raised to “critical”.

Trained firearms officers will be seen on train services all over the country in the wake of the Monday night’s carnage where 22 people were killed in Manchester.
Sick ISIS supporter Salman Abedi, 22, targeted children and families at Ariane Grande’s concert at Manchester Arena with around 21,000 people attending.
British Transport Police’s plan will ensure that passengers are safe on the rail network.
Senior officers say passengers who regularly use train services may see a “firearms presence” on their trains.
Armed officers have been regularly patrolling on the London tube network since December, but this will be the first time they patrol on board train services elsewhere in the country.
Chief Constable Paul Crowther, of British Transport Police, said: “Since the devastating events in Manchester on Monday evening, our force has radically increased the presence of our officers nationwide.
