NORTH Korea is preparing for an imminent attack as Kim Jong-un has begun ordering the rapid construction of protective walls.

The hermit state believe they are on the verge of being hit by cruise missiles from the USA, who they regularly promise to “reduce to ashes”.

After watching Donald Trump order the bombing of Syria last month, Kim and his rogue state believe they could be next.

According to Asia Press news agency North Korea “seems to be very aware of the US attack on Syria”.

The report said Kim Jong-un’s army were now making “preparations against cruise missiles”.

As well as creating protective walls, soldiers have been instructed to remove stone buildings in vulnerable areas as they can cause additional casualties when targeted.

South Korea’s military actions will also have set alarm bells in Pyongyang ringing after images emerged showing a mass mobilisation.

Photos show a huge row of tanks making their way north towards the Korean border – an ominous sign as tension continues to rise.

They were posted on Twitter with the message: “Today, S Korea military vehicles spotted around Seoul heading North, hard to say if there were any Air Def system.”

It comes after new South Korean President Moon Jae-in said there was a “high possibility” of all-out war with North Korea.
