The rotund ruler oversaw the north’s 10th missile launch of the year, as mid-range ballistic the Hwasong-11 was fired from a site near Pyongyang and flew 700km into the Sea of Japan, it has been claimed.

It was thought that the despot nation fired the missile as a warning to South Korea’s new president Moon Jae-in, who has promised to get tough on his neighbour.

But Korean state TV has claimed that Kim Jong-un personally delivered a warning to the US after its launch, stating he would unleash the “greatest disaster ever”.

A broadcast of the launch praised the tubby tyrant for delivering on his promise to turn the Hermit Kingdom into a nuclear power.

They said: “If the United States were to face our republic with a harsh, miserable blunder, the US would not be able to suffer the greatest disaster ever, and that the US and the Pacific Ops are in our strikes,

“He strongly warned us that we should not misjudge the fact that all powerful means are in our hands.”

The US stated they were aware of the launch and tracked the missile’s trajectory, deeming it not to be a threat to their lands.

US president Donald Trump condemned the communist state, and warned that the missile would not have pleased Vladimir Putin in Russia.

But during the chilling broadcast, Kim vowed to continue upgrading the north’s nuclear missile programme until the US left the Korean peninsula completely.
