The Richard Nixon Library slyly tweeted at President Trump on Tuesday, pointing out that at least Nixon never fired the Director of the FBI.
The tongue-and-cheek tweet points out the similarity between Trump’s decision to fire James Comey, the man who was leading an investigation into collusion between the President and Russia, and Nixon’s dismissal of Watergate prosecutor Archibald Cox.
Late Tuesday afternoon, President Trump announced his decision to fire James Comey, Director of the FBI and lead investigator into the ties between Trump’s campaign and Russia.
