Tom Brady has cancelled his visit to the White House just a few hours after it was revealed that his former teammate and mentee Aaron Hernandez had committed suicide at the age of 27.

It was a shocking move from the Super Bowl MVP, who has done his best to say removed from Hernandez’s drama ever since he was first convicted of murder back in the summer of 2013.

For the three years before that, Brady had taken the tight end under his wing, doing everything in his power to create a nurturing and supportive environment for the football player on the Patriots.

Brady is also dealing with the recent sickness of his mother Galynn, who is battling cancer.
