Rubino discusses the rise of inflation and the emerging populist sentiment. Rising inflation around the world shows we are heading into a period of rising instability. While the rich are getting richer with rising asset prices, the average person is becoming frustrated with the broken system and turning away from the right/left dichotomy and towards populist candidates. But there’s nothing that can fix the broken system, Rubino says. Electing populist candidates doesn’t fix anything, it simply brings political instability to the already present economic instability.
