Footage has emerged of children smashing the miniature effigy of the billionaire tycoon to the joy of the cheering protesters at the University of Chicago on Wednesday.
The crowd erupted as one boy struck and dismantled the piñata – traditionally used at Mexican celebrations – and separated the model President’s head from its body.
In the clip, demonstrators are heard telling the children to “step on it” and “tear him apart” before the youngsters remove its limbs.
The display comes after about 150 people gathered to protest against Fox News commentator Corey Lewandowski, who worked for Donald Trump between January 2015 and June 2016, speaking at an event on campus.
