The 48-year-old leader of the right wing Front National (FN) is due to “walk over” her opponents in the first round of voting and for her to steal the lead in the second, according to an analysis by artificial intelligence at an investment firm in Singapore.

Leonie Hill Capital Chief Executive Arun Kant said the controversial figure is on her way to power after running extensive date through the company’s computer systems.

The first round of voting will take place on April 23, with the top two candidates in that result then going on to face a second round on May 7.

Also in contention is the former Minister of the Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs and independent candidate Emmanuel Macron, conservative ex-Prime Minister Francois Fillon and socialist Benoit Hamon.

Ms Le Pen is due to get 28 per cent of the vote in the first round, according to Mr Kant’s analysis, with Mr Fillon on 16.4 per cent and Mr Macron with between 19-20 per cent.

Mr Macron is currently expected to win the second round vote, according to the AI predictions but Mr Kant said that Ms Le Pen would be given a boost in the polls after her performance in the first round which would propel her to victory.
