Jacqui Lambie and Yassmin Abdel-Magied got into a shouting match on ABC’s Q&A after the politician said all Muslims who support Sharia law should be deported from Australia.

Activist Abdel-Magied, one of the founders of youth-empowerment group Youth Without Borders, blasted the Ms Lambie before insisting Islam “is the most feminist religion”.

“Anybody that supports Sharia law in this country should be deported,” said the Tasmania senator, before author and commentator interrupted.

“Do you know what Sharia law is? Me praying five times a day is Sharia,” Abdel-Magied fired back.

“I’m not going to attack you personally but my frustration is that people talk about Islam without knowing anything about it.

“And they’re willing to completely negate any of my rights as a human being, as a woman, as a person with agency, simply because they have an idea about what my faith is about.

“Excuse me, Islam to me is the most feminist religion.”

At that point, Abdel-Magied was heckled by an audience member, but she carried on with her rant.
