Just a week after Donald Trump temporarily barred citizens entering America from seven countries, the beer company has come under fire for it’s “politically charged” message.

The ad, which will air during the US’ largest sporting event on Sunday, depicts the fabricated story of Adolphus Busch, one of the beer company’s founding fathers who migrated from Germany to the states in 1857.

As he touches down on US soil, the character receives grief from angry passerby’s who tell him “you’re not wanted here”.

Titled “Born the Hard Way”, the minute-long clip shows his struggle with his new life in America – before his luck seemingly changes after arriving in St Louis.

When a barman offers him a pint in a friendly manner, it turns out to be Eberhard Anheuser, who co-founded the company with Busch.

Budweiser has since been forced to defend it’s advert after it was blasted by high-profile politicians and some celebrities who claimed it had left Americans “speechless”.
