McCain closed out the segment by saying: ‘And I am not a Meryl Streep fan. Never was’
She also got into a Twitter feud with Billy Eichner, who called her a ‘f***ing moron’ for taking issue with Streep, which led to her saying he lived in a bubble

Meghan McCain launched a ferocious attack against Meryl Streep on Monday in response to the actress’ Golden Globes speech the night prior, during which she criticized Donald Trump just 10 days before he will be sworn into office.
The daughter of longtime Arizona Senator John McCain took to Twitter shortly after Streep’s speech on Sunday, writing: ‘This Meryl Streep speech is why Trump won. And if people in Hollywood don’t start recognizing why and how – you will help him get re-elected.’
McCain was much more enraged about Streep’s speech however when discussing it on Monday while appearing on her Fox News show Outnumbered.
‘I have every D-list comedian on Twitter going after me because I thought it was completely inappropriate last night,’ said McCain.
She went on to call Streep ‘sanctimonious’ and state her belief that ‘the lecturing of celebrities helped Elect Donald Trump.
‘Hollywood, if you don’t take a look, you’re going to usher him in for a second term real quick,’ said McCain, who then referred to Streep and others who had taken issue with her tweet as ‘snowflake liberals.’
Then, to make things very clear, McCain announced at the end of the segment: ‘And I am not a Meryl Streep fan. Never was.’
