Only One Ex-President to Attend Inauguration-What Do They Know That We Don’t?

To date, only one ex-President has delivered his RSVP to attend the Inauguration. Are these ex-Presidents just rude? Are they behaving this way because they were selected for the Presidency as opposed to being elected like Trump? What do these ex-Presidents know that we do not?
