Europe preparing to FIGHT Trump over new president’s protectionist policies
EUROPE has warned Donald Trump it will counter his potentially toxic economic policies by wielding tools initially used against China’s market-skewing practices.

France’s industry minister, Christophe Sirugue, said the continent will not sit back and see destructive policies punish its nations.
Mr Sirugue declared Europe could not be a “spectator” if US president-elect Donald Trump follows through with his campaign promises.
The outspoken billionaire has threatened the world with a protectionist outlook, mostly geared towards China and Mexico, but there are fears he could turn his sights to Europe.
The 70-year-old, who has never held a political office, has previously warned he will impose a 45 per cent tariff on goods from China, and 35 per cent from Mexico.
