North Korea Conducts Drills Imitating Takeover of Seoul

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un attended drills by his country’s special forces unit that imitated the destruction and capture of specific strategic targets in South Korea, including the South Korean presidential residence, the Blue House.
According to a report by North Korean state news agency KCNA, who is supreme commander of the nation’s Korean People’s Army, guided the combat drill of the North Korean special operations unit called KPA Unit 525.
“[Kim] said that if the service personnel of the unit are to conduct bold combat actions with the southern part of Korea as their theatre, they should stage intensive drills… and thus firmly prepare themselves to be stalwart fighters for guerrilla warfare,” read the KCNA report.
