Donald Trump is expanding his pool of candidates for secretary of state, with possible contenders slated to meet the president-elect in the coming week.

Adviser Kellyanne Conway told reporters on Sunday, ‘There’s not a finite list of candidates,’ adding: ‘Who knows how many finalists there will be?’

Aides previously said the shortlist had been whittled down to four, but those close to the transition told The Associated Press that Trump is moving away from both Mitt Romney and Rudy Giuliani.

Meanwhile, former CIA Director David Petraeus, who pleaded guilty for leaking classified information in 2015, would have to check in with his parole officer before being named secretary of state.

ExxonMobil CEO Rex Tillerson and retired Navy Admiral James G. Stavridis have been invited to meet Trump, while names like John Bolton, former ambassador to the UN, and Jon Huntsman, former ambassador to China, are also considered possibilities.
