GERMANY is to ramp up security with helicopters and mounted police at this year’s Cologne New Year’s Eve celebrations in a bid to prevent a repeat of last year’s sickening migrant sex attacks.

Outrage erupted across Europe when more than 500 women reported being sexually assaulted, raped and robbed after more than 1,000 migrants went on the rampage in Cologne on New Year’s Eve in a night of horror.
The sickening attacks led to the criticism of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s ill-fated open door refugee policy.
According to documents obtained by newspaper, Cologne Express, the city’s officials are now discussing plans to implement better CCTV cameras and light sources.
n the 60-page report by police officials, plans for the deployment of helicopters and mounted police for “regular assessment of the situation” have been unveiled.
Describing last year’s sickening attacks, it read: “Due to the high number of visitors, possible criminal arrives could not be detected and stopped in time.
“In addition, there was no way for the victims to escape the situation”
It added: “Many camera images from and around Cologne Central Train Station had poor quality to identify perpetrators.”
