US Senator Marco Rubio said that he does not believe in Russuan meddling the US presidential elections, but the American people need to be made aware if in fact there is evidence that a foreign government tried to interfere with or influence the direction of US politics.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — US Senator Marco Rubio denied Sunday that Russia’s alleged meddling in US elections could have affected their outcome, but stressed the nation needed to know if such attempts were made.
“I do not believe that, in any way, what they did ultimately changed the outcome of the election,” Rubio said on CBS News.
“But the American people need to be made aware if in fact there is evidence that a foreign government tried to interfere with or influence the direction of our politics,” he added.
