President-elect Donald Trump has reportedly chosen Fox News contributor KT McFarland to be his deputy national security advisor.

A Bloomberg Politics reporter tweeted the scoop Friday morning, shortly after Trump transition aides told journalists on a conference call that there would be two staff-level appointments announced by day’s end.

‘She has accepted, I’m told,’ the reporter added.

MacFarland was at Trump Tower on November 18, emerging from one of the building’s elevators late that morning with retired Gen. Michael Flynn, whom Trump had tapped as his national security advisor just a few hours earlier.

Neither position requires Senate confirmation.
