A significant improvement in relations between Russia and Germany is unlikely to happen should current German Chancellor Angela Merkel win the next parliamentary election, the head of the Federation Committee on Foreign Affairs Konstantin Kosachev told RIA Novosti.

Angela Merkel has officially confirmed her intention to run for the fourth term as German chancellor.
