ANGELA MERKEL has been slammed for antagonising other European countries and overseeing a disastrous open door migration policy in a damning verdict on her leadership which has left Germany in a “reformation shambles”.

The Chancellor’s record in government was torn apart by a leading German newspaper which said she has plunged the country into chaos, overseeing a lack of investments and an increasingly expensive social state.
In an eviscerating attack top publication Die Welt blamed Mrs Merkel’s lofty attitude towards crisis-stricken countries like Greece, Portugal and Italy for them not supporting Germany over the issue of mass migration.
Mrs Merkel is widely expected to run for a fourth term as Germany’s leader in next year’s general election despite her popularity suffering a battering due to her lenient policies over the migrant crisis.
The Die Welt article said: “Angela Merkel, always allergic to great visions, still has no idea how to keep the crumbling community together. Eastern Europe go their own way in the EU.
