The Baghdad government said it was not seeking confrontation with Turkey but was “ready for it” if war did break out.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said: “The invasion of Iraq will lead to Turkey being dismantled.
“We do not want war with Turkey, and we do not want a confrontation with Turkey.

The Iraqi PM was reacting to a build up of Turkish troops and military equipment along its frontier, having launched an anti-ISIS offensive inside Syria in September.
