BREAKING NEWS: Italy hit by 5.8 magnitude earthquake
AN EARTHQUAKE measuring 5.8 magnitude has hit the Italian city of Perugia, with tremors felt as far away as Rome.

Tremors were felt in Rome after the quake struck at a depth of 17 miles at around 7.11pm (local time).
The quake struck a mountainous part of the Marche region, lasting several seconds.
Eyewitnesses reported powerful feelings in the western side of the country, with centuries-old buildings shaking.
No injuries have been reported.
It comes just a few days after a 3.6 magnitude quake hit the same part of central Italy that was devastated by a deadly quake in August.
The tremor struck near the town of Norcia in the central Italy, which was previously affected by a 6.0 earthquake in August which killed 298 people and devastated more than 2000 homes.
