Russian cyber criminals have hacked into computer systems used to process credit card payments, posing a major security risk to businesses and compromising customers’ card details.
An online gang hacked into a customer support portal for Micros, used by more than 330,000 outlets including restaurants, casinos, bars and cafes to take payments.
KrebsOnSecurity reported the hack following an investigation starting last month, but states the full scale of the hack is unknown.
