German Chancellor Angela Merkel is facing an angry backlash as the city of Munich is under lockdown due to active shooter situation.

And the horrifying scenes from Germany’s third largest city are sparking outrage from those who are convinced the country’s leading politician is to blame for the attacks.

While there’s unconfirmed reports that one of the perpetrators of the shooting attack is said to have committed suicide another two shooters are said to be on the run and police have instructed the public to remain indoors.

At least nine people have been confirmed dead following the shootings at McDonalds and the Olympia shopping centre in the north-western Moosach district.
