SHOCK QUAKE WARNING: Moon and Sun’s gravity forcing terrifying SHIFT in San Andreas fault
SCIENTISTS have discovered that gravitational pull from the Moon and the Sun is tugging on the San Andreas fault line and contributing to earthquakes.

Much like how the moon helps control the tide, the Earth’s natural satellite, as well as the sun, also contributes to minor tremors.
During certain stages of the tidal cycle, small tremors known as low-frequency earthquakes can take place deep underground when the pull correlates with the way in which the fault is slipping.
Nicholas van der Elst, a US Geological Survey geophysicist and lead of the research, said: “It’s kind of crazy, right? That the moon, when it’s pulling in the same direction that the fault is slipping, causes the fault to slip more – and faster.
“What it shows is that the fault is super weak – much weaker than we would expect – given that there’s 20 miles of rock sitting on top of it.”
